We all love TikTok. Okay, not everybody, but a lot of us do. Folks from all over the world flock to the popular app for entertainment, to be enlightened, or to show off how talented they are. The app is mostly enjoyed on mobile devices (your phone), but there are those of us with bad eyes who would prefer to view TikTok on larger devices, like that beautiful big-screen TV.

Of course, you can do that with screen mirroring, but the experience hasn't quite measured up. TikTok has previously catered to smaller devices. All of that is about to change with a new update.

If you love TikTok and have bad eyes, rejoice.

TikTok is optimizing for bigger devices, like tablets and foldable gadgets. The update promises to provide all of us TikTokers with a "seamless and visually appealing TikTok experience" for all of the platform's loyal users around the world, no matter the device they prefer.

This update makes it easy to watch all your favorite stuff on big screens with a clear video feed, streamlined navigation bars, and orientation support that takes your TikTok viewing experience into a whole new realm. It seems like in 2023 this would have already been a thing, but better late than never, right?

TikTok is also going to experiment with Topic Feeds, which will make it easier for you to check out your favorite food, gaming, fashion, and sports videos. Again, an idea that probably should have been around a bit sooner, but the effort here will be appreciated.

Highlights of this upgrade include a clearer video feed, which will offer refined and enhanced visual clarity (because visual clarity is essential when you're watching videos), navigation bars at the top and bottom of the screen that make it easier to grab your favorite features and tabs, and support for landscape mode so you can hole your device however you want to hold it.

The TikTok wants you to know they understand the community features lots of different types of creators and viewers around the world and this app upgrade is their "commitment to providing an inclusive and enjoyable space for everyone."

The good news for advertisers is that with TikTok looking better on more devices, maybe more people will be looking at your ads.
