Love is a journey, and sometimes, it's best enjoyed with your favorite co-pilots. Tinder, the beloved (see what I did there?) dating app, has just introduced the Tinder Matchmaker feature, and this time, it's not just about you – it's about your friends and family too.

Girl Standing in Front of Giant Tinder Profile
Remember those times when your friends talked about setting you up on blind dates? Well, guess what? Now, these blind dates have crossed the screen into the digital world. This new Matchmaker feature allows you to invite up to 15 of your nearest and dearest, whether they have a Tinder profile or not, to take an active role in your dating life.

If you frequently seek advice from friends and family on your love life, Tinder pretty much just made things a whole lot simpler. The feature integrates a "friend test" right into the dating app, so your friends and family can view and recommend potential matches for you, helping you find that special someone with their stamp of approval.

Tinder Matchmaker has a lot of pros. It eliminates the heavy work of online dating, sparing you the awkward moments of reading that your match's idea of a perfect first date is grabbing an Uber (that you have to pay for) to a shady location across town just to silently chill on a total stranger's couch, for hours.

This is not a true story, btw.

Well, maybe it is.

So! It's a time-saver, too. Instead of spending hours sifting through profiles, you receive a handpicked list of potential matches that resonate with your dating preferences and interests. It's efficiency wrapped in a digital bow, right?

Tinder Matchmaker is already available in 15 countries, including the US, UK, Australia, Canada, France, and Germany, with a global rollout scheduled in the coming months. Users can initiate a Matchmaker session directly from a profile card or through the app settings, creating a sharable link that can be sent to up to 15 friends or family members. These chosen 'matchmakers' then have 24 hours to recommend profiles before the session expires. It's worth noting that matchmakers can't engage in chat or send messages on behalf of the user who invited them.

Essentially, this feature is ready to simplify the dating game and add a dash of matchmaking magic to your love life. Tinder Matchmaker is your trusted guide, your modern-day love expert, and your secret to success in the world of online dating. It's time to swipe right on love and say goodbye to mortifying and awkward dates!
